‘Rocky’ is the black whippet that dominates all my coloured breeding. He has incredible “bone” for a black and is quite a classic “type” of excellent size and shape, but unfortunately, along with his previous 2 generations, he was never exhibited.
He is bred by Yvonne & Michael Beasleigh in Sydney and has 10 lines to ‘Statue’ - UK Aust Ch Dondelayo Statue (imp UK) who is behind most of my breeding.
Rocky is a strong, very outgoing whippet with the most adoring nature and loving temperament. He’s the sire of ‘Gabbo’ and my two ‘Valdassa’ whippets ‘Vida’ & ‘Monte’. I feel privileged to have been able to recently use him at stud myself and dearly thank his owner Irene Spatt, as Rocky is truly unique in both confirmation, breeding and character.!
Made famous in Europe and Scandinavia by Malin Westlie of Macawe Whippets in Sweden, he’s been admired by leading overseas coloured breeders and has been featured on ‘Superflys’ Whippets, a German web site, described by a leading breeder as a “Dream Dog” for a solid black..
