Our new “Valdassa” baby ‘Red’ (co-owned with breeder Gian Zovi) won “Best Baby Pup of Breed”, beating his brindle parti sisiter ‘Bubbles’ in the run-offs and ‘Rosie’ won “Minor Puppy of Breed”.

All were handlled by Robyn Raven who we thank for her wonderful efforts winning First in Class with FOUR of our five whippets (’Julio’, ‘Vader’ & ‘Solo’ were not shown).

The Standard Smooth Dachie won “BIG” & the black Afghan Hound took “R/u BIG”.

Our new German Shorthair Pointer, co-owned with Robyn Raven and bred by Mal & Faye Park, won his class in Group once again this week..

The rain cleared again just in time as we began the Whippet judging of this large long-weekend show, the final day after the Australia Day International Show on Friday (which we did not attend).

Our new “Valdassa” baby ‘Bubbles’ (co-owned with breeder Gian Zovi) won her class of EIGHT Babies and went on to beat the Baby Puppy Dog (which had NINE entries in his class, with her solid brother ‘Red’ placing 2nd!) to take “Best Baby Puppy of Breed” and ‘Rosie’ won “Minor Puppy of Breed”. Here’s ‘Bubbles’ rehersing with her handler Robyn Raven.

We won First in Class with FOUR of our whippets (black ‘Julio’ was not entered) and placed with another two in a huge breed entry of 65 whippets! Our white ‘Beryl’s dad ‘Paden’ bred by Molly Rule-Steele and co-owned with Leigh McVilly won “Best of Breed” !!

The Afghan Hound won “BIG” with a stunning Rhodesian Ridgeback, owned by my dear friend Leanne Cassa and shown superbly by the gorgeous Leigh McVilly, taking “R/u BIG” and then went on to win “Australian Bred IN SHOW” !! (go girls..)

The wet weather held-off as we attended just the Sunday of this large three-day show weekend, with our new “Valdassa” baby ‘Bubbles’ (co-owned with breeder Gian Zovi) winning her first Class “In Group”.

The “BOB” Whippet bitch went on to win “BIG” with a Rhodesian Ridgeback taking “R/u BIG”.

Another great result with SIX Class wins, from seven exhibits! Rosie beat Solo for “Minor Pup of Breed” and then Julio beat Freda for “Junior of Breed”! ‘Rusty’ wasn’t shown as his breeder was judging General Specials; just as well, as we ran out of handlers for the Dog Challenge line-up (again..)

Robyn Davidson’s Borzoi won “BIG” with a gorgeous Mini Smooth Dachie taking R/UIG.

Our new GSP pup ‘Edge’ co-owned with Robyn Raven won “Best Baby Puppy In Group” today, with glowing comments from both his In Group and General Specials judges.

‘Strider’ officially obtained his final points in Sydney at the St George District K C Show under Mrs Danielle Dryburgh (of ‘Tezer’ kennels) a Whippet Specialist judge.

We thank all the judges that have awarded him his eight “Best of Breeds” & “Challenge Cerificates” (four of which were obtained over two weekends), with six of them awarded under Sighthound or Whippet Breed Specialist judges!

Great weather at this large four-show weekend, with our judge Mr Vern Malloy being the new Head of the Aspiring Judges Training Program with the VCA.

We only showed four exhibits at this afternoon show, but did quite well with all of them, especially ‘Rosie’. Jan King’s stunning Saluki won “BIG” (and went on to win it’s first “BIS” under Mrs B Pontin!!) with Robyn’s gorgeous PVGV taking R/UIG.

Great weather was enjoyed by all at this large show with a big Hound entry (being a Hound Club point score show). Father Christmas arrived on a sled being pulled by Samoyeds and both the adults & kids enjoyed it as they do each year.

‘Rusty’ was used in Junior handlers and his handler was placed 3rd in a large and very compeditive class. ‘Vader’, ‘Renaldo’ and ‘Freda’ were not entered as they are all on holidays!

Best In Hound Group was Robyn Wallis’ stunning PVGV and Runner-Up was the Afghan (same winner from Sydney last weekend!).

Mr Hunt is a local NSW Sighthound specialist judge, being a leading breeder of Basenjis for over 35 years.

We had another wonderful day with the Beasleighs (of Bellendene whippets) in Sydney, especially after our co-owned pup ‘Rosie’ came 3rd in the “Puppy Sweepstakes” with an entry of over 20 quality pups!

We placed 1st with all our boys AGAIN, including 5 class wins in total (’Vader’ wasn’t entered this time..) Our solid black ‘Elvira’ won Bitch CC and went on to beat our ‘Rusty’ for “Best of Breed” !!

Many thanks to wonder girl Veronica who handled ‘Rusty’ in class and through to “Dog Challenge Certificate”. The Afghan won “BIG” and the Standard Smooth Dachie was R/Up.

It was a sunny day which got quite humid so we were glad to get home for a wonderful BBQ in the afternoon. The dogs certainly appreciated the air conditioning!!

All of us enjoyed a wonderful early Christmas with the Beasleighs (Bellendene whippets) in Sydney. Having planned this a while ago, we thought we would attend the shows that happened to be on up there, and glad we did!

We placed 1st with all our CC qualifying boys, including 5 class wins in total (’Renaldo’ stayed home in Melbourne with his new daddies!). Was amazing to have ALL of our older boys qualify for the Dog Challenge line-up!! It looked like those wonderfull Breeder Groups you see in the overseas shows. Thanks to Yvonne, David and his friend who jumped-in to help out.

Our ‘Strider’ Ibiza Callas Soprano (co-owned with Allen Anderson) won the Dog Challenge Certificate and has now gained his AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION title. Our very first Whippet Champ!! Well done ‘Strider’!

A sunny day made for a great show and it was nice to spend time with Sydney friends.

The Standard Wire Dachie won “Best In Group” and the Afghan was R/Up.
