Congratulations to Molly Rule-Steele & the ‘Taejaan’ gals for their “Best In Show” win with ‘BRONTE’ – Aust Grand Ch TAEJAAN BUTTERFLY EFFECT (Am Aust Ch Countrywinds Whoze Ever X Aust Ch Taejaan Blissfully Blond) at our Whippet Specialty Show here in Victoria, Australia. “Runner Up” to Best In Show was ‘Carson’ – Aust Ch Marchpast the Emblem (imp UK)

Congratulations to all the winners, especially our friends Helen & David Veless for their ‘Runner-Up to Best In Show’ with our favourite Basenji – ‘Sunny’, under sighthound and esteemed breed specialist judge – Mrs Doreen Duffin.
Mrs Duffin also judged Whippets and awarded our new black brindle pup ‘Venus’ Ibiza Aphrodite All Mighty best “Minor Puppy In Group” and our parti brindle ‘Rosie’ Bellendene Rosetta won her very strong Open class, beating an English Champion import, as well as a multi “Best In Show” winning bitch!! Rosie was really enjoying herself and performed well, winning under a sighthound specialist.

Our young ‘Malena’ won her first “Best of Breed” at only 9 mths!
She also went on to win the “Best Minor Puppy In Group” award under Sydney judge Mr M Gunter (NSW), who gave our ‘Rusty’ Baronrath Mahogany Rust the Dog Challenge and “Australian Bred In Group”, as well as Reserve Bitch Challenge and “Open In Group” for our ‘Rosie’ Bellendene Rosetta.
On the very next day, Malena wins her age class “In Group” yet again, this time under Mr Gunter’s wife, Mrs E Gunter !! She also awarded our parti coloured ‘Rosie’ Bellendene Rosetta “Best of Breed” as well as “Best Open In Group” on Sunday, with Malena taking the Reserve Bitch Challenge.
Our German Shorthaired Pointer ‘Edge’ Aust Ch Canawindra Dubl Date also won “Best of Breed” and “Aust Bred In Group” on Sunday under Mr M Gunter, who was impressed with his type, movement & mouth! Many thanks to the mystery handler who stepped in 5mins before judging to help Edge clinch these wonderful wins! Well Done!! (Colin was stuck with handling the whippet wins..)

We had an amazing day with 6 First in class wins from our 7 exhibits !
After rave reviews by the judges in Sydney, our new solid black ‘Rosso’ took “Res Dog Challenge Certificate” at just on 6 months and ‘Strider’ won the “DCC” and went on to be “R/Up Best of Breed”.
Our ‘Bubbles’ Valdassa Mdme Allbabble (above) looked wonderful, winning “Best of Breed” aged only 8 months, under multi “BIS” winning, breed specialist judge Tony Kyman. The large Rosette presented by the Whippet Association of Victoria made her first “BOB” even more special.. She also went on to win “Best Puppy In Group” !
Our German Shorthaired Pointers also did well, with ‘Edge’ winning his Minor Puppy class and going on to take “Res Dog Challenge Certificate” in a strong line-up. Our young GSP ‘Fraser’ won “Baby Puppy of Breed” and is looking very promising..

A great result in such a large show (about 90 Whippets entered). We were very pleased with our 5 placements including 2nd Puppy Dog for our new solid black boy ‘Rosso’ (from a huge class of 10 pups), with glowing compliments from the judge on him and our “All-Black” Breeders Group!!
