‘Chelsea’ & ‘Sox’ produced 7 pups on the 20th of September 2003. After an extensive search for the best whippets available for my first “non” solid-coloured litter, I chose two of what I considered to be among the finest. For almost a year I had studied many leading candidates and decided on approaching Yvonne & Michael Beasleigh of ‘Bellendene’ Whippets in Sydney, owners of Sox.
They gladly granted me permission to use him at stud and I am very grateful to them. The dam was offered by an inspiring fellow ‘solid black loving’ breeder in Queensalnd, Ms Lana McCrindle of ‘Aslan’ Whippets. A summary of some of their acheivements -
‘Randal’ Ibiza Argyle Diabolical, won “Best Baby Puppy In Show” in his very first Championship Show, exhibited by Donna Ladd of ‘Coridale’ whippets.
‘Mandy’ Ibiza Argyle Dia Mandy, co-owned with Ms Anne Sim, has won classes and has had some promising comments. She’s a solid blue brindle and has some wonderful, elegant characteristics with gracefully flowing curves. She took 2nd Place in a strong Class at the Royal Melbourne Show 2004, under a South African hound specialist judge.
‘Rupert’ Ibiza Argyle Rubicon, is also a solid blue brindle, co-owned and being shown by pre-existing whippet owner and exhibiting world newcomer, Dr Catherine Cox (who’s husband Warren is responsible for hosting our old website). Ruppie displays many of his father’s fine qualities and loves his home with playmate, ‘Miss Zoe’ – Valdassa Voltage.
There was a lovely variety of other colours with another two blue fawn white partis ‘Monica’ – Dia Monique and ‘Dexter’ – Dexterity, with a fawn & white trim ‘Chloe’ – Dia Antique and a solid fawn ‘Anna’ – Diaunt Ana.
