The ‘Aphrodite’ Litter arrived 15th March 2009 with three boys and five girls. They were all healthy pups with a solid black boy & girl (with white trim), a solid black brindle and parti boy, two solid brindle girls, as well as two black & white girls. It’s the second litter sired by this wonderfull American import, a solid brindle bred by Catherine Harker of the world renowned Countrywinds Whippets in the USA.
The litter name of “APHRODITE” was influenced by their mother’s Registered name. CLICK HERE to read about this Grecian Goddess Beauty who was also know as ‘VENUS’ – “Goddess of Love”. So amazing was her beauty, the other gods feared that jealousy would interrupt the peace among them and lead to war! so Zeus married her to the banished Hephaestus (God of ‘Lemnos’, the island my family is from!), who was not viewed as a threat.
