Our ‘Ibbi’ and his sister ‘Monet’ arrive safely after their journey from Sweden.
The AQIS attendant said they came out of the crate wagging their tails and jumping all over the Quarantine staff who said they seemed to act like they’d just flown in from Sydney!
I visited them in the afternoon of the day they arrived and took some pictures. They felt right at home thanks to their carer Nicole who has “fallen in love with them”.. She adores whippets and mentioned she wanted to get one herself!
Here they are resting after their trip

With their carer Nicole who they took to immediately

Ibbi loves to give kisses and was very taken by Nicole in Quarantine

Congratulations to breeder Stephen McMorrow and owners Molly Rule-Steele and the Taejaan girls for – BISS Aust Ch Marchpast The Emblem (imp UK) – “Best In Specialty Show” win, judged by Mr Martin Saunders (UK).
Perfect Sydney weather ensured a great day for showing dogs. Many other specilaty shows on at the same time at the Castle Hill Showgrounds made for a very social weekend, seeing fellow exhibitor friends there from all over the country.
Well done to all the winners and place-getters. The Sydney Whippet Club did a great job on what proved to be an enjoyable day and looking forward to their Specialty show again in late September this year.

‘Freda’ – Ibiza Jasons Aphrodite
“Baby Puppy Bitch”
Our beloved black baby ‘Freda’ won her huge class of 12 entries at this NSW Specialty show!
Quite an achievement for a black baby, especially among a strong line-up of pups, many sired by “BIS” winning English imports.

Our handsome white Ibizan Hound ‘Darcy’ – Aust Ch Sherrak Gonzales, won “Best of Breed” at the prestigious Sydney Royal Easter Show 2006 under internationally renouned judge Mr K Wada (Japan), who also judged their “Best In Show”.
He looked wonderful on the move and performed very well in the ring, even giving “pricked” ears! The judge sent us out again for a second lap and the crowd was quite appreciative!
Darcy was also awardrd “Best Australian Bred In Show” the following day at the Sighthound Association of NSW Specialty under Mrs Agneta Kappers (Sweden) who complimented him on his lovely type.
You can read more about this and see another picture of him on our Weblog pages.
